Markus Hamence – Thursday 3 October 2024 – Vila Lumbung, Seminyak, Bali
The Bali’s garden, wild and free,
I look within – it’s part of me.
Every leaf, every vine,
A spread of nature’s grand design.
The frangipani’s careless bloom,
A chatter in my heart’s own room.
Its petals soft, like thoughts I keep,
That rise in dreams when I’m asleep.
The winding paths through shaded trees
Are like the twists of my memories.
The palm bends, but never breaks,
A strength in me that never shakes.
The lotus on the pond so still,
Is mirrored in my quiet will.
I float above the world’s unrest,
A peaceful heart within my chest.
In every breath, the garden grows,
With every step, my spirit knows
That Bali’s garden is not far –
It lives in me, just as we are.
The earth, the sky, the fragrant air,
I find myself reflected there.
In Bali’s green, I come to see,
The garden’s soul, it lives in me.
