Markus attend schools, expos, libraries and town halls and host a range of interactive and engaging conversations and workshops. The workshops can present options of screen presentations with conversations and also hands-on making of plant related exercises. The sessions can wrap-up with a Plant & Decor Sale.
With 13 unique workshops currently on offer AND OVER 150 successful workshops already held around the communities, Markus’ sessions are received super well and the feedback positive (see testimonials for reference).

Workshops are held and can be run all around Australia. From the city areas plus coastal, hills & suburbs right to the regional towns and remote areas (including cruise ships).
From the experienced gained in his plant world, Markus delivers knowledge and content in a variety of ways over an array of 13 seperate workshops. The sessions range from conversation based with slide presentations through to actual hands-on session.
The workshops are fun, entertaining, informative and most of all engagaing. Enter the session with questions, leave with laughter and a smile and the knowledge you sought.
Markus’ goal is to ensure workshop attendees have a great time, learn valuable information that they seek and leave with a smile on their faces.
Markus Hamence, The Botanic Designer will guide us through a workshop for those who need the bit-and-bobs of information required to turn their black thumb to GREEN, while styling their home with indoor plant. Armed with a sound plant and styling knowledge, Markus will lead the group through all the advice required to get some lushness happening in your life and importantly KEEP IT ALIVE. Include tips & tricks plus valuable advice and a Q&A session. All complimented by a screen presentation with images of inspiration. Indoor plants will be available to purchase to get you started. Wine, non-alcholic options and nibbles included.
Join us for a hands-on adult terrarium workshop with the Botanic Designer, Markus Hamence! Armed with personality, engagement and sound plant and styling knowledge, Markus will lead the group through all the tips & tricks required to create and take home your own terrarium. All materials and nibbles provided. Refreshments available for purchase.
Join us for a creative and fun-filled Pot Planting and Painting Workshop designed for young people aged 10-17! This engaging session, funded by YALE (Youth Action, Leading and Engaging), offers a unique opportunity to learn from Markus Hamence, a skilled horticulturalist and interior designer.

The indoor plant workshop was very popular, informative and appreciated by everyone who attended. Markus spoke about a variety of plants and related scenarios and was great at taking questions from the audience. Many attendees purchased plants afterwards which is a testament to their knowledge gained from the workshop. A good result for all!

Markus hosted a plant workshop earlier this month in our Goolwa Library. His welcoming and friendly attitude (coupled with some great theatrics) made our guests immediately warm to him. The Designer Botanist shared his love for plants, combined with his knowledge of interior design as we were guided through his philosophy that indoor plants provide the perfect space to live in – a calming sanctuary. Markus was professional, polite and prompt to deal with, bookings were steady, and the event was a fully booked, fun filled Saturday afternoon.
